The invasion of the Abnormal reflects the ideas of abnormality and discomfort when the space we encounter in our daily lives becomes deviant. How will the lab member react to intruding “foreign watchers” in a familiar lab space? Are these objects monitoring them? In this project, I delve into the unsettling emotion under visible surveillance cameras and sensors. The piece invites the participants to confront their discomforts and perform in front of the cameras. The monitors will show programmed live surveillance video based on the data input from the camera and sensor in the space.
